HDR is currently seeking a Bridge CAD/BIM Designer to join our team in Kansas City or St. Louis. In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Designer, we'll count on you to:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software, primarily MicroStation.
- Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel plate girder, segmental, and cable-stayed.
- Typical projects will be for highway bridge projects.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers.
- Attention to detail is highly desirable.
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications - Associate or technical school degree, or equivalent experience.
- A working knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data.
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with project team members.
- Experience in structural drafting with MicroStation
- Experience interpreting as-built plans for existing structures.
- Technically oriented with the rudimentary thought process to visualize constructs in 3-dimensional space.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
Required Qualifications - Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
- Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
