Job Description

The Staff Pad is seeking reliable and safety-focused Bus Drivers to join a respected public school transportation team in the Argyle area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring students arrive safely and on time to school and extracurricular activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules.

  • Transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular events.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus safety and cleanliness.

  • Follow all traffic laws, safety policies, and transportation regulations.

  • Manage student behavior and maintain order while on the bus.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation personnel.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist students in evacuation if needed.

  • Maintain accurate route, mileage, and passenger reports.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old .

  • Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements required.

  • Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screening and annual physical exam.

  • Ability to complete required safety and certification training.

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism.

  • No prior experience required—training provided for qualified candidates.
