We have an open req for Network Engineers - Tier 3 needed (CCIE designation would be great but not required) for client - West Des Moines, IA 50266.

Hybrid schedule (specific day split TBD)

Need to be able to support a mix of technologies/architectures, preferable past consulting experience, but not mandatory. If not CCIE certs, have experience consulting on tech like Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Arista, etc.

Will be supporting a range of clients and their needs no specific project is defined currently

Online interviews are OK. (1-2 rounds)

Temp contract position (1 year possible to extend or convert if good fit with the team)

Network Engineer - Tier 3 (CCIE Certified)

Position Overview: We are seeking a senior-level Network Engineer with CCIE certification to lead complex network initiatives for our client in Iowa. This temporary role offers potential for permanent placement and requires an expert who can immediately contribute to mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and architecture of enterprise-level network solutions
• Serve as technical escalation point for complex network issues
• Develop and implement network standards and best practices
• Mentor Tier 2 engineers and provide technical leadership
• Manage large-scale network projects from conception to implementation
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Interface with vendors and evaluate new technologies
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation and disaster recovery procedures

Requirements:

• Active CCIE certification (required)
• Expert-level knowledge of routing, switching, and network security
• Proven experience with network design and architecture at enterprise scale
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities
• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible preferred)
• Must be available to work on-site in Iowa
• Available to start within 15-30 days

Pay rate: $60/hr on W2.
