Manufacturing Mechanic

Objective

To perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This full-time role offers opportunities to expand technical skills while ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Install, dismantle, and relocate equipment according to facility needs
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Fabricate and install support structures for machinery when needed
• Monitor equipment performance and document maintenance activities
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures in an industrial environment
• Respond promptly to emergency repair situations
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, part replacements, and equipment history

Requirements

• 2-3 years minimum experience as a millwright, maintenance mechanic, or similar role
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various positions
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to work overtime or off-hours when necessary for critical repairs
• Understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting
